To confirm the variance, we will use Monte Carlo simulation for a process consisting of five operations m = 5, each following the distribution of N(1; 0.1). In Fig. 4.7 we see the simulation results of a batch with batch size Bk(1) = 300 confirming Eqs. (4.23) and (4.24): it is interesting to note, that the coefficient of variation Cv = 0.23/5 of the sum of the five single operations CT is smaller than that of the individual operations with Cv = 0.1/1 being a direct consequence of the Central Limit Theorem.
